7 Months

It's hard to believe that it has been 7 months already. We have been keeping very busy. Jeremy is almost finished with school and I'm keeping busy with work and all sorts of fun "business adventures."

Jeremy and I are looking to buy a home here very soon. We will just have to wait and see how things go. It will depend, let's just pray that this is the place meant for us.

I will try to start posting more goodies again.

Have a great week,
Rachel

Wilton Couse 1 Class 2

Last night I had my second Wilton class. It was the first class where we got to "play" with the icing. We practiced different piping techniques, learned how to start a rose (well finish next week) and learned how to transfer images to a cake using clear piping gel. That was very interesting and fun. All in all it was a lot of fun.

I brought the cake into work today, since I didn't want to have this yummy thing sitting around the house all weekend... that would just lead to disaster. There were two people in my building that had a birthday this week, so it was sort of a birthday treat.

After the damage was done. Oh don't worry, that last piece won't go to waste!

My boss brought a piece of cake home to his daughter. She loved the cake, so she made me this adorable picture. How sweet, I already have fans.

Next week we have the option of bringing in a cake or cupcakes. I haven't decided what I want to do yet. We are going to learn how to finish making a rose, make full-body clowns and leaves, I believe. We'll have to see what I end up deciding on. Jeremy might be bringing a cake/cupcakes to work next week.

I hope that everyone has a nice weekend, even thought it sounds like it is going to be cold and yucky.

Four Months

Today marks our 4 month anniversary.

To bad that we are both so busy lately, that we will barely have time to see each other tonight. Jeremy is busy with his Master's homework. It's so nice to know that after August he will be completly done with school. That is a day we are both looking forward to. I am working at the toy store tonight and I worked last night, then tomorrow I have my Wilton Cake Decorating class. I started that last week, it was a lot of fun. Tomorrow I have to bring a iced 2-layer cake, ready for decorating, along with a ton of icing. Some icing is colored and ready to use on the cake, some is plain, just to practice with. Hopefully I will be able to show you the final product from class. I have also been working on my friend, Julie's wedding invitation lately. I am designing and printing her invitations, programs, place cards and possibly signs. It will be a lot of fun. I finally got all the kinks worked out with my printer. The printer was really starting to be a pain, but it is behaving now - I guess I'll keep it.

Aside from us being busy right now, we have had a great month. We have gone horseback riding a few times when we had that surprisingly nice weather. I'm sure that the next month sound be just as nice.

Until next time. Have a great day!
